The Role

Working within the Firm’s central BI team, this newly created position will contribute to the build and development of a new BI platform, comprising a SQL Server Enterprise Data Warehouse, SSAS Tabular data models and SSRS/Power BI reporting solutions.

Specifically, the role will focus on:

  • Development of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (SSIS / SQL Server) and back-end support of other BI SQL databases and data models (SSAS Tabular)
  • Creating / providing support to more complex or advanced BI reporting requests (SSRS / Power BI)
  • Ad-hoc technical support to any BI projects

What skills are they looking for?

  • 2+ years’ time served in BI developer/engineering role (Essential)
  • Hands-on development experience SSAS/SSIS/SSRS and Power BI (Essential)
  • Good understanding of data warehousing and experience of building/maintaining ETL processes (Essential)
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 onwards (Essential)
  • SSRS: able to build, maintain and debug complex reports with knowledge of drill through and data-driven subscriptions (Essential)
  • SSAS Tabular or similar: able to build and maintain efficient data models in star/snowflake schema (Essential)
  • DAX: able to author formulas for calculated columns/tables and measures in SSAS Tabular models (Essential)
  • Agile development using Microsoft Azure DevOps / Git Repository source control (Preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Essential)
