Locations (near one of these sites) – Blackburn, Bristol, Derby, Glasgow, London, Warrington, or Sunderland

Salary – £75,000 – £90,000pa depending on level of experience/industry sector knowledge + 10% bonus
This is for a Nuclear Energy organisation who are on a mission to be a true industry leader when it comes to reducing our carbon footprint globally. Their passion for the environment and supporting on high impacting climate change initiatives has seen them win several awards already.
Their mission is to contribute to the acceleration of the energy transition all over the world.
They work in a global way on the development of decarbonated electricity both on its production and its distribution through the development of nuclear and renewable energies throughout the world.
They also work on the renovation of electricity networks, and on the development of new electricity uses such as the development of green hydrogen for the transport decarbonation.
They are hugely passionate about the fight against climate change and the development of nuclear energy throughout the world, convinced that the latter is essential in to significantly reduce the threat of global warming.
Their data strategy is very much at the forefront when working towards achieving a better future for us all and future generations to come.
As the newly appointed Senior Data Architect, you will play a key role with developing new data services, new insights, and new approaches to delivering engineering and construction environments and practices of the future.
This is a varied and rewarding role that will capitalise on your experience to date and offer the opportunity to develop yourself in new areas. You may find yourself working client side one day, and collaborating with their internal SLT teams the next, so agility & enthusiasm are a must!
The Senior Data Architect needs to identify the strategic data needs of the business based on the requirements of non-technical stakeholders and use those requirements to develop enterprise and data architectures, data models and support implementation of changes required.
Great role for someone who would thrive of taking full ownership of a highly rewarding Strategic Data lead role.
What skills will you need
- Strong Data Modelling experience
- Data Architecture – In a data led transformation environment
- Hands on Data Warehousing design & development – On-Prem SQL migrating to the Cloud
- Azure OR AWS OR Snowflake OR GCP
- Strong SQL core skillset – This role will initially be hands on whilst the data team grows significantly
- Oracle OR BIM OR PLM (Not essential but advantageous)
- A true business partner – Experience of working with non technical stakeholders and turning their requests into actionable insights
- A genuine passion for Green Energy & the climate – This role and its key responsibilities will have a direct impact on making everyone’s future a brighter one.
Industry sector experience (genuinely open to any sector however, the below would be advantageous)
